Our valued Australian client, with an established accounting firm in Brisbane, is in need of an Accountant who will be preparing tax returns of individuals, businesses, and other organisations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and super funds
- Completion of tax plans for clients
- Preparation of financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and sole traders from client records including computer packages
- Compiles and analyses financial information to prepare entries to accounts and document business transactions,
- Preparing interim financials for businesses and working on tax planning ideas with the Manager and Principal
- Preparing cash flows, cash book reconciliation, payment summaries, receipt summaries, business activity statements, installment activity statements etc.
- Completion of special projects for clients
- Preparation of Independent Financial Reports prepared for QBCC (Queensland Building and Construction Commission)

- An understanding of the team’s clients
- Can process an Australian taxation job efficiently and accurately
- Individual and team productivity and budget reached consistently

- Excellent communication and analytical ability
- Committed to the highest level of professionalism
- Proven ability to work unsupervised
Qualifications:
- Australian taxation accounting experience
- General accounting experience
- Xero accounting software experience
- Completed relevant business degree with a major in accounting is a must, CPA/CA is preferred but not required
